Our Investment Cast Components Workflow:
1. Mold Design and Manufacturing
- Design: Use CAD software to design a 3D model of the casting based on customer requirements.
- Mold Manufacturing: Manufacture the wax pattern mold using CNC machining.
2. Wax Pattern Production
- Wax Injection: Inject molten wax into the mold to create a wax pattern that matches the shape of the final casting.
- Trimming: Trim the wax pattern to remove burrs and defects, ensuring a smooth surface.
3. Wax Pattern Assembly
- Assembly: Assemble multiple wax patterns into a wax tree to improve production efficiency.
- Inspection: Inspect the quality of the wax tree to ensure it is defect-free.
4. Shells Production
- Slurry Dipping: Dip the wax tree into slurry to form a coating.
- Sand Stuccoing: Sprinkle fine sand onto the wet coating to increase the strength of the shell mold.
- Drying: Place the coated wax tree in a drying room to dry.
- Repetition: Repeat the slurry dipping, sand stuccoing, and drying processes until the shell mold reaches the required thickness.
5. Dewaxing
- Heating: Place the shell mold in a dewaxing furnace to melt and remove the wax pattern.
- Cleaning: Clean any residual wax inside the shell mold to ensure it is completely clean.
6. Firing
- Preheating: Preheat the shell mold in a furnace to remove any remaining wax and moisture.
- High-Temperature Firing: Increase the furnace temperature to a high level to fully sinter the shell mold, enhancing its strength and heat resistance.
7. Melting and Pouring
- Melting: Melt the steel material in a furnace and adjust its chemical composition to meet the required standards.
- Pouring: Pour the molten steel into the preheated shell mold for casting.
8. Cooling and Shell Removal
- Cooling: Allow the casting to cool naturally to room temperature within the shell mold.
- Shell Removal: Use mechanical or chemical methods to remove the shell mold and extract the casting.
9. Post-Processing
- Cutting: Cut the casting from the wax tree.
- Cleaning: Clean the casting surface using methods such as sandblasting or grinding to remove residual ceramic and oxide scale.
- Heat Treatment: Perform heat treatment, such as quenching and tempering, as needed to improve the mechanical properties of the casting.
- Machining: Carry out necessary machining to achieve the final dimensions and surface precision.
10. Quality Inspection
- Dimensional Inspection: Use tools such as coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to inspect the dimensional accuracy of the casting.
- Non-Destructive Testing: Conduct non-destructive testing, such as X-ray or ultrasonic testing, to ensure the casting is free of internal defects.
- Surface Inspection: Check the surface quality of the casting to ensure there are no cracks, pores, or other defects.
11. Surface Treatment
- Polishing: Polish the casting surface to improve its smoothness.
- Coating: Apply coatings, such as electroplating or spraying, as needed to enhance corrosion resistance and aesthetics.
12. Packaging and Shipping
- Packaging: Perform anti-rust treatment and packaging on qualified castings to ensure they are not damaged during transportation.
- Shipping: Deliver the packaged castings to the customer’s specified location.

We have complete testing equipment in our factory. In the aspects of chemical composition test: We have Italy F – 20 direct reading spectrometer, Q6 imported from Germany and domestic spectrometer analysis of the elements C, Si, Mn, P, S, Ni, Cr, Mo, V, Ti, Al, Cu, Mg, Ce, Nb, B, W;
In the aspect of physical performance testing, we can carry out tensile test, impact test, hardness detection, CMM test etc, metallographic analysis etc.And we have fluorescent magnetic particle detector to do the magnetic particle inspection, ultrasonic inspection and coloring inspection.
